Participants were treated to a fabulous full-day of informative speakers. Karla Levinson reviewed elder law updates and walked the group through real-world case studies; discussing how long-term care planning can benefit seniors and their families. Attendees were treated to a non-conventional talk about funeral planning titled, “Going Out with a Bang”. A presentation on DMOST and its relation to advance healthcare directives turned into an eye-opening discussion on end-of-life planning. But the real star of the day was a panel of adult children talking about their caregiving experiences for their parents. We are looking forward to the 2nd Annual Symposium next year – date TBD.
